Who Is Joshua Lee Burgess?
The accused was charged with many things including killing, abusing, and exploiting a minor. The Jury was told by the District Attorney that the victim was abused before the killing. The teenager’s name was Zaria who visited her father at his house because it was the weekend. According to many sources and netizens, the accused killed Zaria over white supremacy. The spine-chilling event came to police notice when Joshua himself confessed to the killing in front of the police. What actually happened was, after killing Zaria, Joshua went straight to the police and confessed that he killed his daughter. He later even guided them to his house, where the body of the victim was found lifeless.
Why Did Joshua Lee Burgess Sentence To Death?
Joshua was visited by his daughter on Friday, at his house which was in Morine at the off Airport road, Hampton Meadows road. Although Joshua revealed that he killed his daughter, the main motive behind the killing is still unknown. The case was brutal and even the officers who witnessed the lifeless body of the teenager weren’t able to describe the incident and were heartbroken to see the poor teenager in such a condition. The case was very brutal to look at and many people tweeted about the case, some said that it was due to white supremacy. The case went viral all over the internet and now people are sharing the same thing it was due to white supremacy. Currently, Joshua is said to be in jail in Raleigh waiting for his next call. According to officials, he will be given a dose of pentobarbital which is given to the criminals executed on death row.
