At the age of 35, French Formula 1 driver Thomas Bonnecarrere succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision during the Belgian Grand Prix. His career as a racing driver was longer than some other Formula One drivers’, having driven from 1987 to 2001. He raced with famous teams such as Ferrari, Larrousse, and Jordan. In the last race of the season, he experienced an accident that drove him over a high curb on the track and so caused his untimely departure from the world of motorsport. The injuries that led to the death of one of France’s top racing drivers, Sebastien Bourdais, have been revealed by criminal investigators.
