Who was Ambrose Lee?
Ambrose was born on the 17th of August 1948, in British Hong Kong. He was appointed to his position as the secretary of security of Hong Kong on the 5th of August by replacing Regina. Apart from being the secretary of security of Hong Kong, Ambrose was also a member of the executive council. He had his early education in Hong Kong itself and after that, he has a degree in Science of electrical engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He also pursued administrative development and senior executive studies as well at the Tsinghua University of Oxford, and Harvard University. He joined the civil services in 1974 and after that, he became the assistant director of immigration in 1995.

After serving as the assistant director of Immigration for two years, Ambrose became the deputy director of Immigration, and later he also served as the director of immigration unit 2022 after being appointed to that position in 1998. He was appointed as commissioner of the independent commission against corruption back in 2002 July. Ambrose was 73 years old at the time of his death and he died in his sleep as per many sources. He was about to become 74 years old in two days, and he died just two days before turning 74 on the 14th of August 2022, Sunday. The Chief executive said in a statement that Lee was a senior officer, whom everyone respected. Ambrose was survived by his child Glen Lee and until now there is no information about the funeral or memorial.
