As per the reports, he passed away after losing the fight with his liver cancer. He had been fighting stage 4 liver cancer but he did not reveal anyone about this and kept his medical treatment a secret from others, battling as recently as 18th December 2021 a 3-round decision against Bryan Baker in the event of the Colorado Combat Club.
