Who Was Valery Polyakov?
Valery was born on the 27th of April 1942 and he was the cosmonaut who worked in space for the longest time he also spent around Earth orbit abroad at Mir Space station more than 7000 times during the time when he was in space for 437 days. It was not the only time he went to space but he went to space two times in his life and he spent around 678 days and 16 hours of his life in space. Russian Roscosmos said in a statement that Valery proved that not only humans are able to travel through the orbit of the earth but also they are capable to move into deep spaces as well. They extended their condolences to Valery’s family and friends as well.

Before becoming a cosmonaut, Valery trained at the Institute of Biomedical problems as a physician which is in Moscow back in 1971. In 1972 he entered the cosmonaut trainees after he passed the exam in the institution and he later earned a Candidate of Medical Sciences degree in 1976. Valery first entered space missions in 1988 and he returned back to earth in 1989 after spending eighth-months in space. In 1989, the same year he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Biomedical problems. Even after retiring from his work in 1995, he remained as the deputy director of the institute and contributed his life to science.

Valery received various awards for his contribution to science and society as well where he won medals as well for his services. He received the soviet and Russian space programs awards and medals and also the Hero of the Soviet Union title and he even received the order to the Lenin title as well. Valery passed away on the 19th of September 2022 and he was 8- years old at the time of his death. Many of the space agencies and research institutes have posted about the demise of Valery and they sent their condolences to the family of the deceased as well and sent prayers to the soul.
