Willis Tower Chicago Shooting Incident
The police got the call from a conference room for a firm that manages 3 floors of the skyscraper which is located at 233 S. Wacker Dr. The police officer stated that the reports of the active gunman were undiscovered. The call of the menace came in at around 03:45 PM as stated by Chicago police. The report stated that an active gunman was targeting the 50th floor, but David Brown, the Superintendent of the Chicago police stated in an unconnected news conference the reports were fastly “rejected” or “debunked”. He stated that “But at the similar time, we are taking due care in making sure that there is no other activity happening so that we can surely get some relaxation of the concerns of several who serve in and around the Willis Tower, that they are safe.”

He further added that “Apart from that, of course, we are taking all of these reports severely until we are capable to reject and debunk them. Given present circumstances in this place with the violence of guns, specifically, mass lethal shootings, we have gonna take each and every precaution require to make sure that is not right or accurate, that there is any concern for the safety of the public and that we surely deal with the perceptions of safety.” The police also state that the call came from through an internal call system of the firm. However, it was not clear whether it was a mistake or a prank. After the workers called cops, the officials stated that SWAT and Chicago Police Department reached the scene but they did not find any kind of threat.
